Forms of Autonomy
in the Eastern Churches
The School of Canon Law Saint Pius X is hosting the Conference of the Society for the Law of the Eastern Churches.
The theme chosen is “Forms of Autonomy in the Eastern Churches”. Since Churches are organized as social and visible structures, they must also have norms to define their autonomy. It is important then to assess the meaning, forms, and juridical consequences of autonomy within the framework of ecclesiastical communion.
The venue will be at Maria Assunta Retreat House – 40 minutes away from Venice by boat – overlooking the Adriatic Sea, in a quiet place set in beautiful grounds.
